13th WIOMSA Scientific Symposium

SWIOTUNA attended the 13th WIOMSA Scientific Symposium held in Mombasa Kenya co-hosted by the Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) and the Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute (KMFRI) in partnership with the Nairobi Convention and UNESCO-IOCAFRICA, brought together over 1,100 researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and students providing regional platform for advancing dialogue on marine and coastal issues, fostering collaboration among scientists, policymakers, and communities to promote sustainable ocean management in the WIO
SWIOTUNA had an opportunity to give an oral presentation for the study conducted on the Analysis of the Blue Economy Budget allocations in the SWIO region sharing on the key findings and recommendations to enhance investment and policy coordination in the Blue Economy sector.
