Membership of the Forum is open to legally registered organizations, of the South West Indian Ocean, particularly from Tanzania, Kenya, Mozambique, Comoros, Somalia, South Africa, Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar and Reunion who indulge in activities which are relevant to the objects of the Forum.
Eligibility for Membership Membership of the Forum is open to the following entities within the SWIO/NMC region:
Non-Governmental Organizations focused on marine conservation and/or marine fisheries
Fisheries interest groups
Fisheries community organizations / networks
Private sector companies and entities working in fisheries
Any specialized agency or program of the United Nations relating to fisheries
Any international or intergovernmental organization with relevant national, regional, or global marine conservation and/or fisheries programmes or interests
Financial institutions, development partners.
A adesão ao Fórum está aberta a organizações legalmente registradas, do Sudoeste do Oceano Índico, particularmente da Tanzânia, Quênia, Moçambique, Comores, Somália, África do Sul, Maurício, Seychelles, Madagascar e Reunião que se dedicam a atividades que são relevantes para os objetos do Fórum.

7. Instituições financeiras, parceiros de desenvolvimento.
